Dr. John Hogue, ND began his journey into naturopathic medicine at a young age, though he wasn’t aware this was the path he was walking. (He thought he was going to write music for a living.) His father had chronic health problems, and his mother was always reading books or listening to talks about health. He also had some physical problems that were significantly helped with chiropractic. This made the topic of health an interest for John. Over time, that interest grew stronger, and he decided to switch majors from music to kinesiology (physics of human movement) to prepare for naturopathic medical school. John chose naturopathic medicine over chiropractic as learned he could do similar work to a chiropractor but could also do much more.
After graduating from The Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine in 2018, John moved to Vermont, and spent 4 years honing his skills in Naturopathic Manipulation Therapy (which is similar to chiropractic or osteopathic manipulations). During that time Dr. Hogue completed ten courses in fascial counterstrain, which he used quite effectively to help people to overcome their pain. He then moved to Washington and received dedicated hands-on training in bioidentical hormone replacement therapy. Dr. Hogue has also received training in ultrasound-guided injections and trigger point injections. He has since combined these treatments, to help people be strong, healthy, vibrant, and pain-free throughout their lives.
John is married, has one son, a cat, and a dog. In his spare time, he likes to chill at home with them. Though his wife prefers chilling at the beach instead. If you happen to see him at the beach, you know who won that day.

I graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Music Therapy from Arizona State University. I have played the piano for my entire life and I love to sing. I also play the organ and a bit of guitar. For the past 15 years I have managed my own small business of teaching piano lessons. I love the outdoors and the beauty around Whatcom County! I have always wanted to live by the beach! I love trying new foods and recipes.
I am passionate about helping people find relief from pain. I suffer from chronic back pain and have found incredible relief through Fascial Counterstrain. I believe every person has incredible value and should be treated with honesty and respect.
